Harriston Legion Branch 296 – Welcome to the Harriston Legion.  Communities and youth

Branch 86 Royal Canadian Legion & Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary
 5003 52nd Avenue• Wetaskiwin, Alberta, T9A 0W6,  PH:780-352-2662

On behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Branch 86 in Wetaskiwin, we warmly invite you to join our community in supporting a benefit fundraiser for those affected by the recent fire at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright.

Branch 86 is committed to standing beside veterans, service members, and their families during times of need. Funds and in-kind contributions received through this initiative will provide comfort and practical support to the injured soldiers and others affected as they face a long road to recovery. This tragedy claimed the lives of four soldiers and resulted in 39 people being admitted to hospital, many with critical injuries that may take months or years to heal.

This fundraiser is an opportunity for local businesses, individuals, families, and organizations throughout Wetaskiwin and neighbouring communities to come together in a meaningful show of care. Our communities have a proud tradition of generosity and service, and every person who participates will help remind these soldiers and their families that they are not facing this journey alone.

The benefit will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion on Saturday, November 7th at 6 pm.   Admission is free.  The event will feature live and silent auctions, a 50/50 draw, entertainment, good food, and great company. We hope you will attend, enjoy the entertainment and help us raise funds to help our soldiers.

We would be grateful for any donation your organization, business, or household is able to provide. Every contribution matters—gift cards, gift certificates, items for the silent auction, or larger items for the live auction, or other forms of support. Each donation will help us extend care and encouragement to these brave soldiers and their families.

Donations may be made by cheque, e-transfer, cash, or in-kind arrangement. Please make cheques payable to Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 86 or drop off your donation at the Legion. E-transfers can be made to la.rcl.86@gmail.com . If possible, we kindly ask that donations be received by November 5th.

We would be happy to recognize your generosity through event signage, social media, printed materials, or another appropriate form of acknowledgment.

For more information or to arrange your donation, please contact Bonny Graham at 780-312-0398 or at grahambonita84@gmail.com, or Cheryl Friesen, President Ladies Auxiliary, at ausharm9@gmail.com .

Together, we can show our injured soldiers and their families the strength, compassion, and gratitude of our community.

Thank you for considering this request.  Your kindness and participation will make a meaningful difference.

Sincerely,

Bonny Graham
