The JEDI AG Forum is Back!!

After a two-year hiatus, we are pleased to announce the 2022 JEDI AG Forum on Thursday, November 24, 2022, presented by the Joint Economic Development Initiative (JEDI) and its Municipal Partners, the County of Wetaskiwin No. 10 & the Town of Millet.

This FREE full day event (including lunch) is reserved exclusively for local farmers and AG producers and as such pre-registration is required by November 17, 2022.

The event features Steve & Amber Kenyon from Greener Pastures Ranching. Steve and Amber Kenyon own a custom grazing business in Busby, Alberta under the name of Greener Pastures Ranching Ltd. They regeneratively manage about 3000 acres of leased land and run around 1400 head of cattle each year. They also have sheep, pigs and chickens out grazing as well. The Mission statement of Greener Pastures is “Economic and Environmental Sustainability for Generations” It is important to provide an enjoyable, profitable and sustainable business for future generations.

The event program also includes four additional expert speakers presenting on a wide range of emerging agriculture topics & grant funding opportunities. The topics are geared towards addressing the operational needs of JEDI region farmers with a focus on both grain and livestock operations. With farmers looking for new ways to diversify their operations, we have also expanded our program to include experts in the field of hemp to share their knowledge.

Please join us for a day of learning & collaboration in recognition of the hardworking men & women of agriculture in our community! Register through Eventbrite or by calling 780-361-6232.
