For more than 80 years, United Way of the Alberta Capital Region has focused on creating a community where everyone can thrive. As times change and new challenges emerge, so does our approach. We’re always adapting, evolving, and listening so we can continue to create long-term impact.

How We Help

At United Way, we listen and collaborate with agency partners, supporters, businesses, government, and community members to understand the barriers facing our region. We address immediate needs and tackle system barriers to create long-term impact in the greater Edmonton Region. 

Resilient, connected, and thriving communities can tackle any challenge. To make sure no one in our community is left behind, we are focused on: Strengthening mental wellbeing, eliminating barriers to educational success, and empowering financial security. 

As a significant non-government contributor in social services, we drive change by working alongside frontline agency partners and social sector experts. Our approach is simple: by the community, with the community, and for the community. We unlock solutions to meet our region’s greatest needs by working together with our partners to ensure maximum impact through capacity building, agency funding, in-kind donations, and more.
