Prairie Farm Foods is a family-operated food business located just minutes southeast of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, and is home to The Meat Shop and Prairie Ranchers Beef. Rooted in decades of ranching and serving Alberta families, Prairie Farm Foods brings together an on-farm store, a federally inspected meat processing facility, and a growing direct-to-customer beef delivery program.

The Meat Shop is our on-farm store, offering Prairie Ranchers Grass-fed and Finished Beef, raised without antibiotics pork, chicken, fine artisan meats, honey, hand-roasted coffee, seasonal vegetables and more!

While many customers have long purchased our Prairie Ranchers Beef through The Meat Shop, we have expanded sales through online ordering and direct to doorstep delivery to more than 20 Alberta communities. Customers can choose from curated beef boxes filled with frozen, vacuum-sealed Prairie Ranchers Grass-fed and Finished Beef, ordered through the Prairie Ranchers Beef website and delivered directly to their homes.

Our cattle are raised without antibiotics or added hormones on grass and grass-based forages, with a focus on humane animal handling and regenerative ranching practices resulting in healthy soil, healthy animals, and delicious nutrient-dense beef.
