Temporary Recreation Coordinator - Full Time, Leduc

Reporting to the Supportive Living Manager, the Recreation Co-ordinator is responsible for the overall recreation, social, cultural and well-being activities for the lodge residents. This will involve providing strong leadership and organizational skills to the development and implementation of a wide range of senior's programs and activities. 

The Recreation Co-ordinator will establish good public relations, within the lodge and the community at large. 

The Recreation Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting and maintaining a robust Volunteer Program.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Applicable post-secondary.
2. Experience working with seniors including an understanding of motivation concepts with seniors.
3. Financial planning and budgeting skills.
4. Strong leadership and organizational skills.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
6. Ability to work closely and effectively with seniors, volunteers and community groups.
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise good judgement, demonstrate initiative.
8. Intermediate knowledge/skills in computer/keyboarding and Microsoft Office.
9. Emergency First Aid Certificate.
10. Possess a valid class 4 driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract.
11. Satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check.
