Intrepid Surveys Ltd. is a Land Surveying company based out of Leduc. They understand the needs of the public and treat their employees with respect. We are looking for a hard-working individual who enjoys what they do and is willing to take Intrepid Surveys to the next level. The successful candidate will be responsible with assisting the crew lead in completing field survey activities on various projects throughout Alberta. We do a variety of different surveys including but not limited to legal surveys, pipeline construction, utility construction, topographic surveys, pile layout/cutoffs, building layouts, RPRs. The successful candidate will also be eligible for our yearly bonus and our matching RRSP program after one year of employment.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Assist with setting up and operating survey instruments

· Assist with field notes/sketches

· Assist with locating and establishing survey monuments

· Assist with all day to day activities required by the Crew Lead

· Actively participate in pre-job hazard assessments

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum Experience

· 1-3 years of survey assistant and/or junior crew lead experience

Minimum Education Requirements

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Valid Class 5 Driver's License

· Valid First Aid Certification

Skills

· Ability to communicate and take direction effectively

· Punctual, attention to detail, good time management

· Computer skills, interpersonal skills

· Safety conscience both on and off the jobsite

Working Conditions

· Office is based out of Leduc but projects are spread throughout Alberta/BC

· Ability to work outside for long periods of time in hot/cold climates

· Frequent travel and overnight stays away from home base

· Flexible shifts (5/2, 10/4, 14/7)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
