About Lagom Lawncare Service

Lagom Lawncare Service is a locally operated property maintenance company based in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. We provide year-round property care, including lawn maintenance, landscaping, seasonal cleanup, and winter snow removal for residential and commercial customers. During winter operations, our priority is to provide dependable, timely, and safe snow and ice management services.

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Snow Removal Staff to support our winter operations. This is a full-time position with work hours that depend on snowfall, weather conditions, and customer service requirements. Employees must be prepared to work outdoors in winter conditions and to respond to snow events at varying times of the day or week.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Remove snow from sidewalks, walkways, steps, entrances, driveways, parking areas, and other assigned surfaces.
• Operate snow blowers, snow throwers, backpack blowers, shovels, and other snow-removal equipment safely and efficiently.
• Apply ice melt, sand, or other approved traction materials when directed.
• Follow assigned routes, property instructions, service priorities, and supervisor directions.
• Inspect work areas and complete snow removal to the company's expected quality and safety standards.
• Load, unload, clean, inspect, and assist with routine care of snow-removal tools and equipment.
• Work safely around customers, vehicles, buildings, pedestrians, coworkers, and other property hazards.
• Communicate delays, equipment concerns, property issues, or service problems promptly to the supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and able to report for scheduled snow-removal work during changing winter conditions.
• Available for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and variable hours when snowfall or weather conditions require service.
• Physically capable of performing outdoor snow-removal work, including lifting, shovelling, walking, and operating equipment in cold conditions.
• Able to follow instructions, assigned routes, safety procedures, and property-specific service requirements.
• Able to work independently and cooperatively as part of a snow-removal team.
• Previous snow removal, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or equipment-operation experience is an asset.
• A valid driver's licence and acceptable driving ability are assets for employees assigned to driving duties.
• Training on company procedures and equipment may be provided.
