The Sales & Marketing Community Manager is a key relationship-builder, revenue driver, and
brand ambassador for The Light House Cowork. This role blends hospitality, sales, marketing,
and operational excellence, ensuring the space runs smoothly while actively growing
memberships, meeting room bookings, and community engagement.
This position is highly people-facing and requires someone who is confident in building
relationships, proactive with follow-up, comfortable with marketing execution, and genuinely
energized by building community. You are often the first impression and ongoing touchpoint for
members, guests, and prospective clients.
The Sales & Marketing Community Manager reports to the Owner and works closely with our
other part-time Community Managers to ensure a seamless experience for members and
guests.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who is:
- Outgoing, friendly, and confident speaking with a wide range of people
- Comfortable with sales conversations and follow-up
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Comfortable with technology and learning new platforms
- Thrives in a role where no two days are the same
- Takes initiative and ownership without needing constant direction
- Understands the importance of community, inclusion, and professionalism
Experience with the following is an asset (training provided where needed):
- Hospitality and customer service
- Office administration
- Sales
- Marketing and content creation
- Basic bookkeeping or invoicing
- Online software tools
Hours & Compensation
- 25–35 hours per week
- Flexible schedule within business hours (Monday–Friday)
- Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required
- We aim to offer a fair living wage — one that reflects the true cost of living in our community and supports our team members. For this role, we believe a fair living wage ranges between $20–$25/hour, depending on experience and responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Community & Hospitality
- Ensure members, guests, and non-members feel genuinely welcomed and supported
- Build authentic relationships with members and learn about their businesses
- Maintain a warm, inclusive, and professional working environment
- Be a visible, friendly, and reliable presence in the space
Sales & Business Development
- Conduct tours for prospective members, drop-in clients, and meeting room clients
- Follow up on leads, tours etc
- Complete the new-client sales process (agreements, first invoice, onboarding handoff)
- Attend networking and community events as a representative of The Light House Cowork
- Attend networking events and be part of external community outreach,
- Research + reporting on industry trends
Marketing & Brand Presence
- Be part of creating and executing marketing strategy plan including: e-newsletter, social media, Google Business Profile content
- Take photos of members, staff, events, and the space
- Support promotion of events, memberships, and meeting room bookings
- Maintain a warm, community-focused, and authentic brand voice
- Basic website updates
Events & Community Engagement
- Support planning and execution of internal coworking events
- Act as on-site support for meetings and events when required, including setup and cleanup
Administrative & Financial
- Respond promptly to emails, voicemails, and text inquiries
- Manage incoming mail and deliveries
- Support client invoicing and accounts receivable
- Maintain accurate digital records and filing systems
Space, Facilities & Operations
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and professional space
- Assist members with shared equipment (printer, WiFi access, amenities)
- Monitor meeting room bookings, including after-hours use
- Identify and report maintenance needs and ensure cleaning standards are upheld
