About the Role:
As an Experienced Painter at DR Painting LTD, you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional painting services while maintaining professionalism and efficiency on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, caulk, repair, and prime surfaces to ensure a flawless finish.
- Paint Application: Apply paint, varnish, stain, lacquer, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
- Detail Work: Ensure sharp, clean cut lines and precise finishing touches.
- Equipment Maintenance: Properly clean, store, and maintain painting tools and equipment.
- Project Diversity: Work on new construction, repaints, suite turnovers, cabinet refinishing, and large-scale commercial projects.
- Safety & Site Protection: Set up ventilators, ladders, scaffolding, and protective coverings to ensure safety and cleanliness on the job.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other painters, contractors, and project managers to complete jobs on schedule and to the highest standard.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Experience with drywall repairs (a strong asset)
✔ Experience with staining (a strong asset)
✔ 3+ years of professional painting experience (residential, commercial, or cabinetry)
✔ Strong communication skills – comfortable working with clients, team members, and project managers
✔ Proficiency in multiple application methods – brushing, rolling, and spraying
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a high-functioning team
✔ Cabinet refinishing and spray painting experience (an asset)
✔ Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required)
