NIGHT HOUSEKEEPER - Leduc
ROLE
Reporting to the Assistant Lodge Manager, the Night Housekeeper will perform night supervision, housekeeping assignments and security checks to ensure the well-being of the residents and support the Night Kitchen Aide position with minimum supervision. As a member of the Leduc Regional Housing Foundation team, the Night Housekeeper ensures that a high standard of services is provided to the residents.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Housekeeping experience in institution/hospitality industries.
2. Formal education in the area of housekeeping would be beneficial.
3. W.H.M.I.S. Training.
4. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal is required.
5. Strong customer service skill including the ability to interact with everyone in a respectful manner.
6. Ability to perform work duties with a minimum of supervision.
7. Ability to work independently, as well as a team.
8. Ability to work a flexible schedule (evenings and weekends).
9. Standard First Aid Certificate.
10. Satisfactory Criminal Records Check including Vulnerable Sector Check.
11. Experience working with and meeting the needs of seniors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Do building rounds as per schedule of the premises throughout the night, including the mechanical rooms.
2. Respond to resident emergencies in conjunction with the Night Kitchen Aide.
3. Secure all doors and exits nightly.
4. Clean front and kitchen entrances.
5. Clean all common areas including staff and public washrooms and restock supplies in washrooms
6. Promote Health & Safety awareness:
• participate in all aspects of the Health & Safety Program.
• perform hazard assessments and use safe work practices.
• report any injury, near miss, unsafe condition or unsafe act to your supervisor immediately.
• make safety suggestions.
• set a good example.
7. Other duties as assigned.
