This casual position will be required to work a variety of shifts. Shifts will include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights. The General Service Worker is responsible for delivering a high standard of housekeeping and food services to the residents in the lodge. 

Duties may include kitchen-related responsibilities such as cleaning, cooking and food preparation or housekeeping responsibilities and other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

**The ideal applicant will have cooking experience working in a commercial kitchen and be willing and able to work all shifts. ** 

• Housekeeping and/or food service experience in institution/hospitality industries. 

• Formal education in the area of housekeeping and/or food service would be beneficial. 

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal is required. 

• Strong customer service skills, including the ability to interact with everyone in a respectful manner. 

• Ability to perform work duties with a minimum of supervision. 

• Ability to work independently, as well as a team. 

• Ability to work a flexible schedule. 

• Experience working with and meeting the needs of seniors. 

All employees will be required to have a Pre-Employment Fit to Work Assessment, and a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector check.
