  • Revenue Recognition: Assist with revenue recognition calculations and reporting for long-term power system fabrication and retrofit projects utilizing ASC 606 / IFRS 15 frameworks.
  • Inventory Analysis: Conduct inventory reconciliations, inventory reporting, cycle counts, and structural analysis of inventory variances.
  • Overhead & Cost Absorption: Support the analysis and allocation of overhead and project-related costs, supporting WIP activities.
  • Financial Reporting & Month-End Close: Deliver timely project margin reporting, inventory accounting, and month-end close activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface comfortably with project managers, workshop supervisors, procurement leads, and field service technicians to uncover the real story behind cost variances.
  • Audit Support: Serve as a primary point of contact during project accounting reviews, providing clear documentation for revenue recognition tracking and compliance audits.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Experience:

  • 3 to 5+ years of dedicated cost accounting experience within a heavy manufacturing, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction), or industrial energy service environment.
  • Advanced ERP Systems: Deep, hands-on experience working inside enterprise-level ERP systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle) to track bills of materials (BOM) and inventory ledger inputs.
  • Mastery of Excel: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Power Query) to build scalable cost-tracking models from raw system extracts.
  • Analytical Rigor: Root-cause problem-solving skills to investigate why data looks wrong rather than just reporting the numbers.
  • Clear Communication: The ability to translate complex accounting structures, variances, and bottom-line profit risks into clear, actionable terms for non-financial operations managers.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a professional accounting designation (CPA/CMA) is highly preferred.
