Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Class 5 Delivery Driver to operate a 1-ton truck and trailer for timely and efficient deliveries. This role requires a dedicated individual with strong customer service skills, excellent communication, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, commercial driving, and forklift operation, ensuring safe and accurate delivery of goods to various locations.

Duties

• Safely operate a 1-ton truck and trailer to pick up, load and deliver products from vendors to company work sites according to schedule.
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling of goods.
• Assist with moving items within warehouses or delivery sites, utilizing heavy lifting techniques when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with vendors regarding delivery times, product details, and any issues that may arise.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each trip.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during deliveries.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate inventory movement and ensure timely dispatch of goods.

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial driving, warehouse operations, or related fields.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely (training provided if necessary).
• Strong customer service skills with professional communication abilities.
• Capable of heavy lifting and moving items efficiently and safely.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation.
• Good physical stamina for long periods of driving and manual handling tasks.
• Reliable transportation to reach the work location daily.
• Prior experience in warehouse environments or logistics is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
