Accounts Manager - Maskwacis
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, financial tracking, reconciliations, and administrative financial support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a team setting. Key Responsibilities
• Process and manage accounts payable for multiple departments and organizations
• Review invoices, verify approvals, and ensure timely payments, Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and financial records
• Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems
• Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting
• Prepare and process cheque runs and electronic payments
• Monitor budgets and expenditures as directed
• Communicate with vendors, staff, and management regarding financial matters
• Support audits and provide documentation as required
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and financial procedures
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
• Support with payroll and various administration roles.
• Complete board meeting minutes and other elements
Qualifications & Skills
• Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Experience with accounts payable and multi-entity accounting considered an asset
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of Indigenous organizations or healthcare environments is an asset
Employment Details
• Position Type: Full-Time, 8am -4 pm
• Wage: Negotiable based on education and experience
