Residential Team Lead

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Program Operations Manager (POM). This position is responsible for the guidance, planning, education, staffing, measurement, communication, and scheduling related to all functions of the programs. This position is first point of contact for all residential clients, outreach workers, respite and caregivers for day to day support needs.


General Responsibilities:


Employee and Strategic Leadership

· Responsible for mentoring and growing a team of high-performing individuals and teams.

· Ensure new and existing staff have sufficient resources to provide professional and competent service delivery.

· Manage employee relation issues in the department in accordance with accepted HR practices and policies including performance.

Collaborate with POM on staff performance reviews and manage employee conduct in the workplace through coaching and mentoring of staff.

· Ensure the implementation of HR best practices to maximize employee engagement.

· Contribute to interview, hiring, and resource decisions that may impact the organization.

· Conduct mediation sessions as needed to manage employee relations as required.

· Maintain a positive employee relations environment and building strong relationships and rapport with front-line employees to provide sound advice and counsel.

· Promote inclusivity, respect and diversity through LINX initiatives, programs and processes that align with external best practices.

· Ability to take initiative and work independently on individual assigned tasks, as well as ability to work in a team environment.


Operational

· Meets regularly with the staff to discuss operational issues or challenges and develops resolutions to overcome the challenges.

· Ensure all procedures and processes are implemented for the efficient and effective operation of the programs.

· Maintain and develop relationships with third party stakeholders as it relates to supporting clients in the community.

· Participate with the leadership team in creating, evaluating and implementing organizational goals.

· Sets position objectives and priorities based on goals derived from LINX’s needs and guided by LINX policies.

· Scheduling for front line positions and clients.

· Prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently and produce high quality results and complete all work in a timely manner.

· Effective analytical problem-solving and ability to make responsible decisions in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures.

· Cover any front line shifts as needed.

· Facilitates home visits for both support homes, respite homes and outreach clients.


Program Planning

· Assesses client support needs and determines effective and reasonable accommodations for those needs.

· Supporting the development and implementation of program guidelines.

· Participate in the development of comprehensive Individualized Service Plans (ISP) and Positive Behavioral Approaches.

· Execute and facilitate ISP meetings when required.

· Promote and advocate on behalf of the agency.

· Participate in the community to encourage and support community options, bridges, and connections.

· Supports the development of short, intermediate and long-range outcomes in support of LINX’s Mission and Vision.

· Anticipates, identifies and responds to problems and issues related to program functions.

· Ensures Program compliance with CET standards.

· May conduct home visits of support, respite, and outreach homes to ensure they are meeting the requirements of LINX.

· Collaborates with the Education system to aid in transition of adults to Agency activities.

· Perform other job-related activities as required.


Qualifications, Education and Skills Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working with the disability sector.
  • Experience with behavior management strategies and experience working with disabilities is an asset.
  • Emergency First Aid Certification with CPR and AED is required.
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Abuse Prevention and Response Protocol are an asset.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to work with a variety of computer programs.
  • Class 5 driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract and minimum $2 million liability insurance on safe and reliable personal vehicle.
  • Strong understanding of landlord and tenancy laws would be an asset.
  • Strong understanding of OH&S would be an asset
  • Excellence in both verbal and written English
  • Clean criminal and intervention record check.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
