Overview
The Quality Control Inspector performs quality control inspection of incoming materials, in-process production and finished products ensuring measurement accuracy and compliance to standards.
Responsibilities
• Read and interpret drawings.
• Approve inspections on incoming materials, in-process production and finished product.
• Measure and verify that dimensions of machined parts are accurate to drawings.
• Initiate return of products for rework and rejection of unacceptable materials.
• Communicate required adjustments to supervisor.
• Document inspection results and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
• Document inspection results (reports and logs), and summarize re-work and waste.
• Maintain operation of measuring equipment and arrange for repair as needed.
• Assume duties as required.
Qualifications
• 3 – 5 years’ relevant work experience.
• Ability to use and read measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
• Good product knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Other Key Considerations
• Post-secondary training in quality management is an asset.
• Mechanical experience is preferred.
• Previous instrumentation knowledge is a strong asset.
Salary: Starting wage at $23/hr, and commensurate based on skills and experience.
