Overview

The Order Picker is responsible for picking products for outgoing shipment.


Responsibilities

  • Pick and verify parts according to packing slip.
  • Determine picking order according to customer ship date and courier pick-up.
  • Confirm any outstanding shipments on order number list.
  • Use Kinetic to check inventory, generate packing slips, print labels and transfer parts.
  • Operate forklift to move skids and load trucks.
  • General housekeeping of department.
  • Complete associated paperwork.
  • Assume shipping and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in an order picker or similar role.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use operate forklift, parts picker, and electric pallet jack.
  • Forklift and Fall Arrest certifications (training is provided). 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills.

Other Key Considerations

  • Previous forklift experience is an asset.


Drug and Alcohol Testing: CVS Controls is committed to maintaining a safe and drug free work environment. Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is a mandatory requirement for all prospective employees.

Fitness-to-Work Testing: A pre-employment fitness evaluation will be required for positions involving physical tasks.

All testing procedures will be conducted by a third party in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, test results will be shared internally on a need to know basis only.

Salary: Wage starts at $22/hr | Wage increases based on skills and experience
