As a key member of our team, the Lube Technician brings to life the ultimate service experience. As a general service technician, you’ll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of automotive maintenance services. These tasks can include performing routine vehicle maintenance, including:

  • fluid exchanges and oil changes

  • visual safety and courtesy inspections

  • mounting, balancing, rotating, and repairing tires

  • testing and replacing batteries

  • changing bulbs, belts, and hoses

  • maintaining and cleaning shop areas

  • other shop maintenance items as needed


Responsibilities:

  • Performing requested repair work in a productive and efficient manner
  • Performing Oil Changes & Quick Lubes in an efficient manner
  • Performing Tire Changeovers & Wheel Balancing
  • Light Duty Repair work - Wipers, Air & Cabin Filters
  • Repairing vehicles under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  • Providing the Service Advisor with an estimate of any additional repairs needed
  • Continuously learning new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience as an Oil Change Technician
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with clean abstract
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
  • Must have basic knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
  • First Aid and WHMIS an asset
  • Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Working knowledge of shop equipment
  • Ability to learn new Service techniques and procedures
  • Must be willing to submit a background check prior to employment
