Liquor Clerk

Wetaskiwin Co-op is recruiting for the position of part-time Liquor Clerk at our very busy Co-op Wine and Spirits Liquor Store in Falun, Alberta.

What you’ll do: 

Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, the Liquor Clerk is a self-motivated individual who has strong attention to detail. The Liquor Clerk is part-time position, who must be available to work evenings and weekends. Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Provide a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service.
• Troubleshoot till and customer service issues.
• Process cash register payments of cash, debit, credit card, gift card and cheques.
• Be comfortable regularly bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing up to 25lbs.
• Optimize work processes while following all Wetaskiwin Co-op policies, procedures, and standards.

Who you are: 

• Must be minimal 18 years of age, ProServe training is considered an asset.
• Sommelier experience or training would be considered an asset.

Experience in the liquor industry and retail sales especially in the CRS will be consider an asset.

• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays where necessary.
• You have the ability to organize and effectively prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
• You have exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
