Overview
The Junior Buyer is responsible for effective supply management of required goods and services. Primary duties include inventory analysis, product sourcing, vendor selection, price negotiations, and purchasing.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage purchase order suggestions within Kinetic software.
- Develop approved vendor list and maintain vendor relationships.
- Negotiate price for best overall cost.
- Coordinate with R&D and Production to procure proper product. Research and advise on alternatives as necessary.
- Manage incoming freight, including forwarder selection, and ETA updates. Ensure timely communication with all relevant departments.
- Coordinate with warehouse departments (such as Production, Inventory, Shipping, etc.), to ensure efficient material handling and storage.
- Coordinate with Sales and Production Planners on sales forecasts and product availability.
- Monitor purchase orders for on-time delivery of goods and services. Using Purchase Order suggestions, coordinate with Logistics for customs clearance, freight, etc.
- Verify received goods and services against purchasing paperwork.
- Assume other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary training in Supply Chain Management or related is preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience purchasing in oil and gas, manufacturing or related industry.
- Experience using Kinetic or similar ERP software.
- CVS product knowledge.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Effective coordination with other departments.
- Proficient with Microsoft office.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

Wage: Ranges between $25.00 – $32.00/Hr | Wage increases based on skills and experience
