Position: Inventory Control Specialist

About the Role:

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you’ll be the heartbeat of our Logistics and Materials team, ensuring our inventory runs like a well-oiled machine. You'll work closely with production, engineering, finance, and sales teams to keep everything on track and maintain high service levels for manufacturing and parts sales.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the Champion of Inventory: Manage our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure seamless coordination between warehouse, production, procurement, and logistics teams.
  • Drive Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and service levels.
  • Lead the Charge: Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counts, inventory variances, and root cause analysis of discrepancies.
  • Keep Things Safe and Sound: Maintain a safe work environment, enforce health and safety policies, and ensure equipment and materials are in top shape.
  • Communicate and Collaborate: Foster strong relationships with internal teams and provide feedback to improve operational accuracy.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education & Training: Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field. ASCM (formerly APICS) certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or operations management.
  • Technical Know-How: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control is essential.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent time management. A positive team attitude and strong work ethic are key!

Working Conditions:
