Under the direction of the Executive Director (ED) otherwise known as CAO, the Director of Operations will oversee and support the day-to-day operations of all Leduc Regional Housing Foundation (LRHF) programs, contributing to the organization’s strategic and operational objectives. Working with the Supportive Living Manager, Tenant Services Manager, and Corporate Services Manager, the Director of Operations is a hands-on role, accountable for the operations of all aspects of program delivery including (but not limited to) resident/ tenant relations, employee and labour relations, operating budgets, and overall legislative and policy compliance. The Director of Operations is a member of the executive leadership team ensuring effective and efficient services and quality programs are delivered to residents/ tenants, employees, and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS - A post-secondary education in Business or a related field such as human services or not-for-profit management. Equivalent prior related work experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with related industry background (supportive living and housing), and experience leading/ coaching employees in a non-profit setting.
- Working knowledge of all federal and provincial legislation applicable to the industry within which Leduc Regional Housing Foundation operates including accommodation standards and employment-related legislation.
- Excellent critical thinking skills with demonstrated decision-making, leadership development, active listening, and feedback skills with a focus on mentoring and motivating employees, and an ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of business functions such as but not limited to finance, marketing, information technology, human resources, and a strong business acumen with experience setting/ meeting targets as related to job functions.
- Strong knowledge of and an ability to understand operational details.
- Proactive and creative in thinking about strategy and developing the culture of Leduc Regional Housing Foundation.
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to communicate effectively with staff, residents/ tenants, the Executive Director, LRHF Board (as determined by the Executive Director), volunteers, contractors, outside agencies, government departments and the public.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and work calmly in high pressure situations in a constantly changing environment to meet the needs/ priorities of the organization in a professional, diplomatic manner.

- Recognition of the importance of providing outstanding service.
- Ability to understand the unique needs of residents/ tenants/clients, staff, volunteers, and contractors.

- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint), Internet Explorer, and people management software.
