Pay range: As per IAFF Collective Agreement

(depending on experience $36.32 - $48.43/hour)


The City of Leduc is currently seeking qualified Advanced Care Paramedics (ACP) to join our team.  Leduc Fire Services (LFS) is an integrated fire department that provides service excellence in fire, medical and rescue operations.

As part of a fully integrated team, this position will provide emergency medical services.  If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy providing and promoting high quality customer-care to the community, this is the opportunity for you. The successful candidates will be able to work as many shifts as they are able, based on vacancies in the shift schedule, with the minimum expectation of 48 hours per month.

Other benefits include full membership to the Leduc Recreation Centre (9,000 sq ft. fitness facility, indoor running track, pool, fieldhouse, courts, skating) and $500 per year allowance for benefits.

Our ideal candidate will be a fully-trained and certified ACP. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and public relations skills and the following emergency services certifications and training are required:


  • Current registration and a member in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics as a Paramedic (ACP)

  • Current Liability Insurance

  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (preferred)

  • Valid Alberta Class 4 driver’s license

    • Driver’s license must have less than seven demerits (a current Driver’s Abstract will be required at time of interview)

  • Minimum Grade 12 education or recognized equivalent

  • Successful applicants will become a member of IAFF Local 4739


Successful candidates will be required to provide a current Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector, that is satisfactory to the City of Leduc. Employment is conditional on the successful completion of the pre-employment drug test.
