About
Our founders, Tammy and Tania, are Registered Psychologists, Registered Play Therapists, and most importantly, moms. The Institute of Child Psychology was created by a shared passion to empower parents and caregivers to help children lead emotionally healthy lives. ICP was founded to educate parents and professionals on issues about children’s mental health and to promote the psychological and emotional well-being of children and adolescents.
The Institute of Child Psychology (ICP) is a leading Canadian organization dedicated to advancing children’s mental health by equipping parents, caregivers, educators, and professionals with practical, evidence-based tools and training. Founded by Registered Psychologists, ICP translates current research in neurobiology, attachment, and developmental science into accessible strategies that support emotional well-being, resilience, and healthy relationships in children.
Through workshops, webinars, certification programs, and digital learning, ICP empowers communities across Alberta and beyond to better understand and support children’s emotional and psychological development—helping families and professionals create environments where children can truly thrive.
