Century Mile Racetrack and Casino is looking for a Dishwasher to join our kitchen team.

As a dishwasher you will:

• clean and wash dishes, other cooking utensils
• ensure for the cleanliness of all kitchen areas
• perform all duties in compliance with safety standards, health standards and the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (A.G.L.C.)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Graduation from High School, or the equivalent in education and experience. No previous experience is required; however, prior dishwashing knowledge or experience within a hospitality, restaurant or gaming environment is desirable.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

WHMIS Food Handler’s License, (Food Safe certificate) or equivalent, when required. (we will provide training to the right candidate).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• frequent brisk walking
• stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, kneeling, squatting
• standing for entire work shift, with standard breaks
• lifting trays containing food
• lifting up to 50 pounds to stack, store or move kitchen, restaurant supplies and equipment
• floors which may become slippery in the process of preparing food and beverages.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Essential duties may involve working in a kitchen environment that contains loud noise, odors and a frequently hot cold work environment due to running ovens and refrigeration units.
